3D Moulded PVC Patches

A 3D patch is sculpted rather than layered: the mould carries genuine relief, so highlights and shadows fall across the surface as they would on a cast badge. On an emblem with depth built into the artwork — a crest, a wing, a rope border — the difference against a flat patch is not subtle.

Depth is a design decision, not a default. We build the relief map from your artwork and show it in the mockup as a rendered patch, because a design that looks striking flat can turn muddy when every element is raised at once. Usually two or three planes of depth do more than five.

The trade is thickness and cost: a 3D patch sits taller off the garment and takes a more complex tool. On a chest emblem or a unit crest that is exactly right; on a small text-only patch it adds nothing worth paying for, and we will say so.
